FAQ

  • One thousand dollars is a lot for one family. How did you come up with this number?

Many organizations focus primarily on the child with the diagnosis, and we know that cancer impacts the whole family. We also included money towards other holiday expenses, including food and transportation. We also wanted to give well so that each family could experience generosity. Not to be frivolous with funds but to experience complete relief from finances during the holidays.

  • How do you select which families receive a box?

We have partnered with Seattle Children's Hospital and its social workers. They work with these families regularly and know which would benefit from this project the most. The families then will fill out a form and share their cancer journey with us. This step is crucial; we do our best to have a face, a name, and a story. We want to give to these families with their stories in our hearts.
