About a generosity project.

A Generosity Project was formed in 2020 to join the fight against cancer with generosity. However, it began in our family’s heart several years before. On a drag, cold rainy night in December, I sat in the living room wrapping the final gift for a family I did not know. This family had a little girl who had been fighting cancer for most of her life, and this Christmas felt extra complicated for them.

It was Christmas Eve, and the list was complete. My husband and son were heading to Seattle Children's cancer-ward to meet a family who needed more than anything this Christmas; hope. As we gave gifts, tears fell down the cheeks of everyone in the room.

This act of generosity represented so much more than just financial assistance; it showed this family that they were not fighting alone in this battle for their daughter's life. Over the next several years, our family personally adopted a family each year. The more families we helped, the more we realized the need was very great, and this generosity significantly brought so much life and hope to families fighting cancer.

In 2020 we decided to officially launch A Generosity Project as we raised funds to give gifts to ten families. In 2021 the momentum of this project grew. Funding came in, and in the last three years, we have provided to 108 families in which cancer has significantly impacted the lives of these families.

RACHAEL MICHALSKI - PRESIDENT OF A GENEROSITY PROJECT

We stand with the fight against cancer along with several other organizations who are fighting with research, development, and so many other forms of generosity. We are proud to serve courageous families and individuals and hope we can bring joy and humanity to their hearts by meeting not just their needs but a little extra. Our dream is help these families feel heard and that we in a small way can say we are fighting with you, believing with you, and cheering you on.
